Spice-nut Refrigerator Cookies

Recipe file created November 16, 1999.
A not-too-sweet cookie.

Cream together margarine, sugars, egg and almond extract. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well between additions. Stir in nuts. Shape dough into a roll 2 inches in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate for at least one hour.

Heat oven to 375 F. Slice dough 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes or until golden brown.

The dough can be kept in the fridge for several weeks, or you can freeze it for later.
